Halloween parties are enjoyed by everyone. Halloween is celebrated on 31st October and it can be great fun for all ages. A large number of superstitions and symbols are related with Halloween such as ghosts, fairies, witches, goblins etc.
In the fall it is common to decorate with leaves, cornstalks and pumpkins. While organizing fun Halloween activities, it is important that they are harmless to others. They should not involve any activities which may cause nightmares or injuries. They should be fun for all and not only the organizers.
If you have a birthday in October or November, you can combine it with a Halloween theme for extra fun. Special costumes are worn and kids dress up like witches and ghosts to celebrate. Different types of pranks can be played in Halloween parties. These pranks are enjoyed by both kids and adults.
In a Halloween party activities play a very important role. Indoor and outdoor decoration helps set the mood. You can go with a fun and lighthearted theme or a dark, spooky theme. Either would be exciting for kids and neighbors. The food and drinks served at this party could also be devilish and freaky in nature. This will create the perfect atmosphere in the Halloween party. Wooo hooo! What Fun!
There are so many fun activities to choose from.
Bobbing for apples and ghost story telling are traditional activities in a Halloween party. Other trendy games which call for doing disgusting and scart acts generally go well in a Halloween party. Resemblance of blood, human body parts and other things can create a scary yet healthy atmosphere.
A blind touch game in which participants are made to touch something which will resemble blood and human parts is perfect for Halloween activities. Use of worms, bugs, snakes etc. made of rubber or other materials and making kids touch them blind folded and telling them that it is real can also be great fun. In a big group of kids, you can also organize freeze dancing where the kids will dance to the tune of a CD player and will stop dancing and freeze in scary postures as soon as the music stops.
If you are a peace lover and do not want too much noise and music etc. you can opt for arranging fun halloween activities which can be played peacefully. There are lots of Halloween riddles, puzzles, crosswords, worksheets and books etc. which can be enjoyed thoroughly by children without making too much of noise. However, a Halloween party without noise and screams will seem to be incomplete. So, you must put in few activities with good round of screaming and shouting so as to make children get the real feel of Halloween party.
